10 on 10: December

10 on 10:
Ten photos taken during one day or event, documenting that day or event, and posted on the tenth of the month.
I wasn't sure if I could pull off my 10 on 10 this month- things have been hectic around here!  But I really didn't want to miss the last one, so I've cobbled together some photos of our Thanksgiving weekend to share…

This year our Thanksgiving was a little different.  For me, it was the first time in fifteen years that we didn't have Thanksgiving with my family or Paul’s family.  For Paul, it was the first time ever.  His parents retired out of the area earlier this year and we spent Thanksgiving last year with my family so we planned on just a quiet day for the four of us at home.   Good friends heard our plans though and insisted that we join them instead, which ended up being a ton of fun for the grown-ups and kids!

The day after Thanksgiving Paul is always itching to start getting the Christmas decorations out so we spent the rest of the weekend picking out our tree and decorating.  And then, because we didn't wind up with any leftover turkey Paul decided to smoke a turkey on Sunday after Thanksgiving.   We’re still eating the leftovers of his "small” (if 17 lbs for 2 adults and 2 kids is considered small!) bird!

(p.s.- halfway through these photos my logo changes- been working on some things as the first steps of getting a little business set up!  I still have some tweaking to do with the logo for when I use it as a copyright but I'm getting there!)
