My Sewing and Craft Studio...

When we bought our house one of the things that sold us on it was that there was room for both of us to have our own workspaces...  Paul was thrilled to finally have a garage and to have one that's oversized and even has heat has been great for when he wants to work on his car in the middle of a New England winter.  My space is going to be a room in our partially finished basement that's just off the family room.  It's going to be great when LP is old enough to play in the family room while I work on projects in my sewing room- I'll still be able to keep an eye on him! When we first saw the house the room looked like this: The stairs come down from the hallway off the kitchen into the family room.  We've stripped the lovely wallpaper and painted everything a light buttery yellow.  The carpet is the next thing to tackle as it desperately needs to be replaced!  There's now a huge t.v. in that corner where the armchair is and our sectional is against the back wall.

Steam Roller....

Here's some video of LP steamrolling his way across the floor:

Paul Thomas: Things to Remember, Month Eight

Little Paul is 8 months + 11 days old.. So almost 8.5 months I guess!  I've been slacking off on our monthly photo shoots.  I want to keep doing them but it seems like every time I have a day off it's raining and there isn't enough light in our house to get any good photos...  Soon though I hope! A few things to remember about Little Paul at 8+ months: 1.  The teeth!  In a VERY short span of time he's gone from no teeth to 3 on the bottom and 4 up top.  And he is so good about it too- no fussing at all... Plus he opens his mouth right up for the toothbrush! 2.  He's getting much better with finger foods.  A lot of food still ends up all over his face but he's figured out that when he puts something in his mouth he then needs to let go of it if he actually wants to eat it... So that's good! Hanging in his buddy's wading pool... 3.  Steamrolling. This started over the past few days.  If we sit him down on his blanket with his toys just out

I ♥ Faces Feet Contest

This weeks I ♥ Faces contest is "Feet Week."  I've taken a lot of pictures of Little Paul's feet as I think they're adorable but I knew immediately which picture I wanted to enter. These are the feet of both of my babies.  Little Paul's tiny toes and Gabby's (the dachshund)feet too.  Be sure to go to I ♥ Faces to check out the other entries!

Three Weeks....

So it's been almost 3 weeks since I last posted.  It's shameful, I know, that I haven't been keeping you all up to date on all of the exciting activities going on in our lives... I'm sure you're feeling the loss and have just been huddled in front of your computer monitors desperately waiting for an update. Really though, it's been a pretty hectic few weeks.  The day after my last post I attended 3 birthday parties- two were first birthdays and LP and I went together, and the third was a friend's birthday that evening which BP and I attended.  I took no photos at any of these parties unfortunately- Paul stayed home to get some yard work done while LP and I went to the kiddy parties and so my hands were full.  Here's a pic of LP playing with one of the birthday boys (this was party number 2 for us that day) that someone else took: And here's the birthday boy's mom Jaimie holding LP- We celebrated Jaimie's birthday later that night!
